The Coalition for Youth-Peace-Security in Central Africa (CJPAC) is a regional initiative dedicated to empowering and engaging young people in the pursuit of peace and security in our region. At the heart of our mission is the recognition of the positive role that youth play in conflict prevention, peacebuilding, and post-conflict settings. Our goal is to address the misinterpretation of youth involvement in conflicts and the resulting exclusion of young people from decision-making platforms and peace processes.
We work towards harmonizing, coordinating, and strengthening the efforts of youth-led and youth-focused Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) across Central Africa. Through capacity-building workshops, leadership training, and dialogue sessions, we equip young people with the necessary tools and skills to become active agents of positive change in their societies.
In essence, we are a collective of passionate individuals and organizations committed to shaping a brighter and more secure future for Central Africa’s youth. Together, we believe in the power of youth to drive positive change, silence the guns, and foster prosperity across the region.
As the Coalition for Youth-Peace-Security in Central Africa (CJPAC), our main focus is to empower and engage young people in peacebuilding and security initiatives across the region. We conduct capacity-building workshops, leadership training, and skill development programs to equip young people with the necessary tools and knowledge to become effective peacebuilders in their communities. We advocate for the inclusion of youth in decision-making processes at local, national, regional, and international levels. By amplifying their voices, we ensure that young people’s perspectives are integrated into policies and programs related to peace and security.
We facilitate dialogue sessions, consultations, and intergenerational dialogues to promote understanding and cooperation among different stakeholders. By fostering a culture of open communication, we aim to bridge gaps and find common solutions to conflicts. We support and promote youth-led initiatives that address specific challenges related to peace and security. By providing resources and guidance, we encourage young people to take an active role in shaping their communities positively.
We work towards implementing the United Nations Security Council Resolution 2250 and the Continental Framework for Youth, Peace, and Security in Central Africa. This forum serves as a platform for learning, collaboration, and networking. Through collective action and partnership, we aim to create a region where youth are recognized as key agents of positive change and contributors to sustainable peace and security.
